Has Health and Safety gone mad?? Are plastic flowers a 'risk'?
No 'kin comment. Just winds me right up!!
Reply:The only risk they pose is to a jobsworth who is probably looking for a life-line to save their job. Create a stink and all of a sudden you are important. Well actually, this works both ways. The residents need to establish who has created this problem then get onto their local and national papers, the local doctors panel (things like flowers are beneficial to people in appartments) their help the aged groups and all manner of like minded people. Let everyone know who this person is and get them sacked! This hasn't anything to do with health and safety! It's a load of codswallop! I did health and safety as a company director for over 30 years and was a member of the British safety council! Stand up to these miserable bullies! Get rid of them and don't be intimidated by beaurocracy!
Reply:Hey Guys don't worry about global warming or rising fuel costs, or the fact that your home may be repossessed, don't worry about food riots, and don't worry about a possible WW3, cos its the plastic flowers that are gonna get you! Has anyone warned Gordy Brown?
Reply:Sometimes I think we have brought all this on ourselves, or at least, a certain section of society has. You know the ones I mean - slip on some wet leaves and it's the Council's fault, bump into a pavement display outside a shop and it's the shopkeeper's fault. Just find SOMEone to blame, because - then you can sue! Nice little earner! Easy money.

So I suppose the council are just trying to protect themselves as it is their property. In fairness, should there be a fire and the residents have to evacuate through smoke filled corridors then the chances of elderly or infirm people tripping over plant pots IS a consideration. Perhaps they could all sign a waiver stating they will not sue for any accidents relating to the plant pots? Or maybe the council could really push the boat out and provide them with window boxes to put their flowers in.
Reply:why do we allow it to happen? these people enjoy their plastic flowers. ok not the best in taste but they like them so why not ? everywhere i go , more things are banned as a health hazard. everyone is wearing florescent jackets even our local bus drivers. bouncy castles are now un safe. school sports days are dangerous. its time we fought back. tell them to ***** off , then do whatever we want to do.
Reply:ludicrous as always in these things. why they have to spoil everything these days is beyond me. How about the University grads who are advised not to throw their Mortar Boards up in the air as has been the tradition since heavens knows when because it might come down and hit someone, that was in the papers recently, bloody stupid
Reply:here is another funny, barmy thing those nutty 'ealth n safety folk have got up to

Reply:I don't know about health and safety, but they are definitely a serious taste risk. Saying that I do have some, but only cos the kids got me them for my birthday!
Reply:Do the councils deliberately employ people to go round and find fault, with no constructive purpose, other than to cause unnecessary misery!?
Reply:of course they should be banned, for crimes against interior decor

I mean who in their right mind would willingly buy plastic flowers ??!
Reply:"WOW" Plastic Flowers, remember the song? "Where Have All The Flowers Gone?"
Reply:After 20 years of non-accidents - it's bound to happen soon

deadly plastic flowers will destroy the world

at least we're paying our councillors good money to protect us so well
Reply:Hate to say this but they are a fire hazard and, they are so so awful that they are only good for nothing !!

Fumes from plastic are toxic too !
Reply:Sure are, Christano Ronaldo could fall over them he is after all always falling over like a daisy.
Reply:Plastic flowers!!!!...absolutely lethal!!

Actually i object to them on grounds of taste.
Reply:Absolutely pathetic........

That's the only words i can think of.
Reply:I agree with everyone above!
Reply:YESS!! Imagine where you could put them if you fell on them!!

OWIE!
Reply:What a fecking joke! they would be a risk if they were shoved up their pathetic noses!
Reply:I pity you poor sods in the Uk....It's one complete f**k up of a place to live......
Reply:What's happened to this world. H%26amp;S are as bad as traffic wardens!
Reply:.....and this is a Tory council, not Labour, who would have thought it?
