Why do my indoor potted flowers die? I water them 1-3 times a week.?

Its mostly my gerbria ( not sure I spelt It right ). What kind of care does this type of flower require In order for It to stay looking healthy and alive. Also how often do they require watering. Most my plants and flowers die or droop.

Thank you.

Make sure there is plenty of light but not heat. I even find that ventillation helps. Windows open from time to time.

Use a good indoor pot plant fertiliser. That's the key.

Don't over water- once a week is ok. But when you do, make it a good watering. Put them in the sink or whatever an really water. Then leave them alone to do their thing.

Also, go talk to a plant shop person. They're usually really helpful.

If they're drooping it's water....dying is worse...
Reply:Over watering, especially in the dormant winter cycle might be your culprit.
Reply:the flower wont last on a gerbera in or out doors once the season is over that's it for the flower!

but outside the plant will stay %26amp; flower next year,

not sure if you can keep inside once it's finished flowering, but don't water much for indoor plants check if the soil is dry first,

I just have real common junky type of plants for indoor %26amp; they get no attention or food %26amp; they all thrive, the only name i have for one is the umberella %26amp; oh yeah mother in-law tongue is another, %26amp; you know that one you see in all the TV shows, its green skinny leaves %26amp; it looks real posh they are so great for indoors, even if its a dark kind of room, i even just stick a cutting straight into a pot %26amp; bring it straight in the house %26amp; a few lower leaves will fall off %26amp; then its fine

but i never use potting mix, i just use dirt %26amp; i've heard dirt is a no no but its works great
Reply:Because you are over watering them and they suffer from root rot. Cut down to once a week and don't be afraid to re-pot them in fresh soil.
Reply:Hello try put some stones in the bottom of the pot this helps drain the water and grow strong roots!
