What are these flowers called?
Cherry Blossoms.
Reply:I agree, these are most likely silk cherry blossom flowers. I doubt that you will be able to use fresh stems as they will be too big to fit on the cake and the stems will not be able to bend to fit the shape of the cake.

Your best bet is to use silk flowers or have the bakery make the flowers out of gumpaste.

Here are some links to see some samples of the silk cherry blossoms (warning: the pictures are not the greatest):

Here are some gumpaste flowers-they really look real and can be colored to your wishes:

Congrats and best of luck!
Reply:Looks like cherry trees but, their blossoms don't last long enough.

Find some similar flowers such as larkspur or delphinium.

Or hydrangeas.
Reply:They appear to be silk flowers, which resemble flowering crabapple, or a Cherry tree.

Reply:Those are not real flowers ~ they are silk renderings of cherry blossoms. Similar flowers can be found on dogwood, plums %26amp; quince, but only for a couple of weeks in early spring.
