Although Garden Of Shadows was the last book written, it is actually a prequel to Flowers In The Attic. It's been over 10 years since I read the series but I think I read Garden Of Shadows first. It isn't necessary, though, in order to understand the story.

Reply:Oh my goodness! I just read Flowers in the attic and Petals on the wind! I am addicted! On the front cover is the book list in order.They are the best books ever, and I want to have thought of the plot so bad! =))
Reply:Flowers in the Attic is the first book, Petals on the wind is the 2nd book, If there be thorns is the third, Seeds of yesterday the fourth, and Garden of shadows the fifth. It is called the Dollanganger series by VC Andrews. Read most of them, they are very good!
